Tucked away on the northwest coast of Koh Phangan, Thailand, Haad Salad Beach is truly a hidden gem. With its powdery white sands, crystal-clear waters, and lush palm lined shoreline, this idyllic beach offered the peace and seclusion I craved after bustling Bangkok.
The calm, shallow waters were perfect for swimming or snorkeling, where you can marvel at the marine life near the coral reef just offshore. I swam until sunset each night, reluctant to leave the bath like waters.
In the evenings, I dined by candle light at the ocean, savouring crispy fried banana’s and Thai curries while the sky turned shades of pink and gold. I stayed in a cozy beachfront bungalow where I fell asleep to the soothing sound of waves and the thunder of late night rain showers.
When it was time to leave, I found myself reluctant to say goodbye. Even now, on cold days back home, I find myself fondly reminiscing about the sun-soaked afternoons, the laughter-filled dinners and the peaceful nights in my bungalow. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, I can’t recommend Haad Salad Beach enough.
