Mykonos, Greece

I visited this popular greek holiday destination in late September just as the summer crowds were leaving for home and a serene calm had washed over the island.

The rugged rocky landscape is beautifully contrasted with the calm clear ocean and you can enjoy incredible sunsets each evening from one of the many hills.

The town is lovely with it’s narrow winding alleyways, hidden seaside restaurants, colorful string lights and of course the distinct blue and white homes. Although famous for it’s opulent parties, you will discover more depth to Mykonos as you explore inland and discover a rich history in the small traditional villages or you can take a day trip to see ancient ruins in nearby Delos. On a lazy afternoon you can simply stretch out at one of the many beaches and let all your worries fade away.
