Ljubljana is a wonderful, cultural and serene Slovenian city with a fantastic festive atmosphere.
Cafe’s are lined up alongside the beautiful Ljubljanica River which flows through the centre of the old town, making is a lively and vibrant quarter in the summer months. The European streets are charming and pretty and being pedestrian only you can wonder them freely without interruption.
There is a large student population in Ljubljana and you can get a sense of the towns passionate anarchist roots at Metelkov, a former military quarters which is now a colourful creative hub where artists can live independently from the established norm.
Ljubljana is also a very green city, with the expansive Tivoli park to wonder and the lush forested Ljubljana Castle grounds to explore.
Ljubljana is an immensely enjoyable place to spend time in and sit back and enjoy good company over drinks by the river.
