Eibsee is a stunning lake in Bavaria, Germany just outside Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
With it’s beautiful forest surroundings, crystal clear water and mountain scenery it is a very serene place to visit.
There is an easy walking path that circles the lake, so you can explore the scenery and enjoy it from many different perspectives. The lake’s appearance changes depending on the time of day and the weather so I would recommend a few visits if you have the time.
In the area is also the The Partnach Gorge and Reintal valley, another terrific place to visit if you are a traveler who loves nature and hiking. The Gorge itself is not to be missed with a deep passage through passing waterfalls along the way. On the other side and you can spend several days exploring the many hiking routes in the area, discovery tiny villages and wildlife along the way.
