I am absolutely in love with this an exceedingly charming Medieval city in the Czech Republic.
I could spend days wondering the alleyways, browsing the local artisan stores and enjoying the sound of the river which winds through the town.
It was a quiet time of year when I visited and the streets were almost empty, giving the town an almost eerie stillness – but when you catch a fleeting glimpse inside one of the many taverns the atmosphere is warm, bustling and welcoming.
Mestsky Park is a lovely forested area to wonder through and with a chill in the air and the sight of the Cesky Krumlov castle looming above this city transports you to another time.
I first tried the delicious pastry, Trdelník while in Cesky Krumlov and although it is argued to be a non traditional treat, it is not often found outside of Eastern Europe and is a swirl of cinnamon heaven – making it an absolute must!
