It is a UNESCO-listed historical city in Albania, known for its beautifully preserved Ottoman-era architecture. The city’s unique houses with large windows cascade down the hills, creating a picture perfect view. Surrounded by hillside forests and stunning nature, this well preserved city is an incredible place to wonder through learning about it’s long interesting history and meeting the friendly locals.
Albania is an inexpensive destination to visit and on a budget we stayed in an incredible 18th century home – comfortable updated but with most of the original features and styling in tact and felt like we had stepped into another era.
