Alghero is a lovely medieval city in Sardinia, Italy with a charming paved promenade overlooking the Mediterranean sea. At dusk the area is filled with people enjoying the warm evenings and the many restaurants overlooking the ocean, the old fashioned street lamps create a magical atmosphere and the entire city comes alive. During the day there are also many great places to visit close to Alghero, including beaches, national parks and Neptunes Grotto a popular cave near by.
